KB: Unit of measurement for pieces of information : actually
1024 Bytes (characters), but in practice almost always rounded
down to 1000. Often written as just K, eg 250 K is 250 Kilobytes
(250,000 bytes/characters. See also Megabyte, Gigabyte.
KPS - KiloBits Per Second
KPS: A measure of speed of information flow, usually over
a modem. A Kilobit is a thousand bits. See also bps, Mbps.
