Windows 8.1 update announced
Finally we have the news that we’ve been waiting for…. We’re going to get out start button back! Since Windows 8’s release our customers and ourselves have been frustrated at the fact Microsoft had changed some of the features and views we’ve been used to in operating systems for many years, namely the start button and the desktop view. Later this year will See the Windows 8.1 upgrade that promises to bring back the start button and the desktop view as a default view.
This is great news as many customers decided they didn’t like Windows 8 when it was released. I hope that the update will give us the functionality we want and hope full break the mould Microsoft seems to have set with the one good, one bad operating system releases. Food for thought well they’ve been doing it for a few years think back Win98, WinME ,WinXP, Win Vista, Win 7, Win 8 general trend is one good one bad! Has anyone else noticed this pattern?
The update will be free and will be available later in the year, there more feature enhancements for Microsoft store, setting, search and personalisation.
All Desktop PC’s from our computer store in Colwyn Bay will be getting the update as soon as its available, and for any pre-installed laptop we sell we will on request setup and install the latest 8.1 update too. All in all great news for our home and business customers and for us too!
